What is MAT

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach to treating substance use disorders, particularly opioid use disorder (OUD). It combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to support patients in achieving and maintaining recovery.

To keep lowering the drug overdose statistics, MAT is a critical component in the treatment of substance use disorders, offering tangible benefits in reducing overdose deaths, curbing illicit drug use, and improving overall patient outcomes.
